Getting Crafty

After many years of sewing on either my mom's old machine or my grandmas old machine I finally decided to purchase one of my very own. I love it! It stitches in a strait line and everything! I have many, many fancy stitches to choose from and a button hole takes just only moments to sew!
After reading Darby's blog i finally decided on a Kenmore from Sears. Her reviews helpe me choose which model.
As promised here is the first thing I completed on my new machine and the first baby bib I designed all on my own.

Now I can't wait to work on a few more surprises for Mandi's and Matt's little Cecelia. Mandi is due in August. Everyone I know that is pregnant seems to be due in August.... weird.

A beautiful holiday weekend

Pug and I took an extended Holiday vacation to sunny North Carolina.

We sat on the deck and sunned ourselves with my Mom, my Dad, Pug and Dave's brother Tim.

Dave's new present arrived on Friday and he had to take it for a spin......
very pretty!

We made lots and lots of food. I hope you all get to enjoy strawberry shortcake from scratch.
That yellow spongy thing from the grocery store does not count.

Pug decided that the poor yellow flower at the end of the deck steps was the spot to pee, all weekend long. Sorry Mom.

We planted flowers on the deck.

We fished. I did not catch anything.

we relaxed. Now back to work and reality. Boo.
Mom, Dave see you in June!

At long last

I apologize for not posting in a very very long time but here we go again.
So last fall I had four baby showers for four close friends and family. Here is what I made for them.

Zoo Babies for Wylie.
Little Lambs for Adriana.
Transportation for William.
Sleepy mouse for GG.
Now i have been cross stitching gifts for people since I have been in grade school from pre made kits. As of Christmas I have started making some Kyle original's. I will save them for my next post.
